CVSS v3.1 |
Pivotal Spring Framework through 5.3.16 suffers from a potential remote code execution (RCE) issue if used for Java deserialization of untrusted data. Depending on how the library is implemented within a product, this issue may or not occur, and authentication may be required. NOTE: the vendor's position is that untrusted data is not an intended use case. The product's behavior will not be changed because some users rely on deserialization of trusted data.
The hotrod java client in infinispan before 9.1.0.Final automatically deserializes bytearray message contents in certain events. A malicious user could exploit this flaw by injecting a specially-crafted serialized object to attain remote code execution or conduct other attacks.
The MyScript SDK before 1.3 for Android might allow attackers to execute arbitrary code by leveraging a finalize method in a Serializable class that improperly passes an attacker-controlled pointer to a native function.
eDeploy has RCE via cPickle deserialization of untrusted data
Contao CMS through 3.2.4 has PHP Object Injection Vulnerabilities
On desktop, Ubuntu UI Toolkit's StateSaver would serialise data on tmp/ files which an attacker could use to expose potentially sensitive data. StateSaver would also open files without the O_EXCL flag. An attacker could exploit this to launch a symlink attack, though this is partially mitigated by symlink and hardlink restrictions in Ubuntu. Fixed in 1.1.1188+14.10.20140813.4-0ubuntu1.
The Beaker library through 1.11.0 for Python is affected by deserialization of untrusted data, which could lead to arbitrary code execution.
RichFaces implementation in Nuxeo Platform 5.6.0 before HF27 and 5.8.0 before HF-01 does not restrict the classes for which deserialization methods can be called, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via crafted serialized data. NOTE: this vulnerability may overlap CVE-2013-2165.
DomPDF before version 2.0.0 is vulnerable to PHAR deserialization due to a lack of checking on the protocol before passing it into the file_get_contents() function. An attacker who can upload files of any type to the server can pass in the phar:// protocol to unserialize the uploaded file and instantiate arbitrary PHP objects. This can lead to remote code execution, especially when DOMPdf is used with frameworks with documented POP chains like Laravel or vulnerable developer code.
FileManager provides a Backpack admin interface for files and folder. Prior to 3.0.9, deserialization of untrusted data from the mimes parameter could lead to remote code execution. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.0.9.
Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in Stephen Cui Xin allows Object Injection. This issue affects Xin: from n/a through 1.0.8.1.
A vulnerability has been identified in PP TeleControl Server Basic 1000 to 5000 V3.1 (6NH9910-0AA31-0AE1) (All versions < V3.1.2.1 with redundancy configured), PP TeleControl Server Basic 256 to 1000 V3.1 (6NH9910-0AA31-0AD1) (All versions < V3.1.2.1 with redundancy configured), PP TeleControl Server Basic 32 to 64 V3.1 (6NH9910-0AA31-0AF1) (All versions < V3.1.2.1 with redundancy configured), PP TeleControl Server Basic 64 to 256 V3.1 (6NH9910-0AA31-0AC1) (All versions < V3.1.2.1 with redundancy configured), PP TeleControl Server Basic 8 to 32 V3.1 (6NH9910-0AA31-0AB1) (All versions < V3.1.2.1 with redundancy configured), TeleControl Server Basic 1000 V3.1 (6NH9910-0AA31-0AD0) (All versions < V3.1.2.1 with redundancy configured), TeleControl Server Basic 256 V3.1 (6NH9910-0AA31-0AC0) (All versions < V3.1.2.1 with redundancy configured), TeleControl Server Basic 32 V3.1 (6NH9910-0AA31-0AF0) (All versions < V3.1.2.1 with redundancy configured), TeleControl Server Basic 5000 V3.1 (6NH9910-0AA31-0AE0) (All versions < V3.1.2.1 with redundancy configured), TeleControl Server Basic 64 V3.1 (6NH9910-0AA31-0AB0) (All versions < V3.1.2.1 with redundancy configured), TeleControl Server Basic 8 V3.1 (6NH9910-0AA31-0AA0) (All versions < V3.1.2.1 with redundancy configured), TeleControl Server Basic Serv Upgr (6NH9910-0AA31-0GA1) (All versions < V3.1.2.1 with redundancy configured), TeleControl Server Basic Upgr V3.1 (6NH9910-0AA31-0GA0) (All versions < V3.1.2.1 with redundancy configured). The affected system allows remote users to send maliciously crafted objects. Due to insecure deserialization of user-supplied content by the affected software, an unauthenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a maliciously crafted serialized object. This could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code on the device with SYSTEM privileges.
DataEase is an open source data visualization analysis tool. In Dataease, the PostgreSQL data source in the data source function can customize the JDBC connection parameters and the PG server target to be connected. In backend/src/main/java/io/dataease/provider/datasource/JdbcProvider.java, PgConfiguration class don't filter any parameters, directly concat user input. So, if the attacker adds some parameters in JDBC url, and connect to evil PG server, the attacker can trigger the PG jdbc deserialization vulnerability, and eventually the attacker can execute through the deserialization vulnerability system commands and obtain server privileges. The vulnerability has been fixed in v1.18.25.
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in ThinkAdmin up to 6.1.67. Affected is the function script of the file /app/admin/controller/api/Plugs.php. The manipulation of the argument uptoken leads to deserialization. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The complexity of an attack is rather high. The exploitability is told to be difficult. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
A Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in chainer v7.8.1.post1 leads to execution of arbitrary code.
Delta Electronics InfraSuite Device Master versions prior to 1.0.12 are affected by a deserialization vulnerability that targets the Device-Gateway, which could allow deserialization of arbitrary .NET objects prior to authentication.
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in HuangDou UTCMS V9. This affects an unknown part of the file app/modules/ut-template/admin/template_creat.php. The manipulation of the argument content leads to deserialization. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
Admidio is an open-source user management solution. Prior to version 4.3.12, an unsafe deserialization vulnerability allows any unauthenticated user to execute arbitrary code on the server. Version 4.3.12 fixes this issue.
pac4j is a security framework for Java. `pac4j-core` prior to version 4.0.0 is affected by a Java deserialization vulnerability. The vulnerability affects systems that store externally controlled values in attributes of the `UserProfile` class from pac4j-core. It can be exploited by providing an attribute that contains a serialized Java object with a special prefix `{#sb64}` and Base64 encoding. This issue may lead to Remote Code Execution (RCE) in the worst case. Although a `RestrictedObjectInputStream` is in place, that puts some restriction on what classes can be deserialized, it still allows a broad range of java packages and potentially exploitable with different gadget chains. pac4j versions 4.0.0 and greater are not affected by this issue. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
A local privilege escalation vulnerability in Sophos Intercept X for Windows with Central Device Encryption 2024.2.0 and older allows writing of arbitrary files.
